Wait was about a half hour wasn't to bad

Bad vibes the minute we walked into this place. It was packed and we could barely open the door without hitting into the people waiting in line for a table. As we were holding the door open for a family that was exiting, an extremely rude bartender yelled at us to keep the door closed because it was cold outside. "ARE YOU IN OR ARE YOU OUT? PICK ONE." Okay... There was no need to speak to us this way. Meanwhile, we couldn't even close the door behind us as there were people still forming in the line for a table. The only reason we stayed to eat was because it's one of the few restaurants in Peddler's Village. I wouldn't even have been bothered by the fact that we waited an hour to get our food because I understand it was busy, but the attitude from the bartender was enough to turn us off to Hart's Tavern completely after this experience.

The hostess was very friendly and helpful

First visit on Sunday 11/12 at 2:00 p.m. The place was mobbed. The 3 hostesses that were seating people did zero to greet people as they came in the door and were met with a line. A line to place your name on a list or a line to wait for a table to open up? Your guess is as good as ours and those that came in behind us. Within a 1/2 hour we were seated and greeted by a very tired looking waitress. We ordered 2 different appetizers ( fried pickles & mozzarella sticks). The menu advertised 8 mozzarella sticks, but there were only 7. Nothing fancy with the mozzarella sticks as they seemed to have come from the freezer. The fried pickles could have been made on the premises, but both were average. Lunch was salads for both my husband and I. I ordered the Apple salad which came with huge bib lettuce leaves that had to be cut vs. having been torn before assembling the salad would have made eating it much easier. There were grapes in this salad, 4 to be exact! Two where already cut in half when I received the salad and 2 were left whole. There was hardly any apple included (perhaps 1/4 of a small apple) and after eating the entire bland salad I couldn't put my finger on what was missing to give it flavor, oh yeah, the blue cheese crumbles that were supposed to be on it. I only learned this after looking up the menu online as we waited for our waitress to return to our table. My husband's Caesar was just average too. Overall, this place is busy because it is one of the few dining options for people visiting the shops at Peddlers Village. The food and service was mediocre at best. This was our first visit to Peddlers Village and we came to use a food gift certificate that we were given. After being less than impressed with our dining experience we have no desire to come back any time soon.

We lost track of time but we were happy they we still seating. I had the fish and chips and he had the chicken sandwich. Both were hot, fresh and a good meal. The bill was less than our last mediocre meal at TGIFridays. Very satisfied. It was busy and the staff was still in good spirits. Our waitress, Colleen, was so sweet! Definitely a good choice.

Our waitress was also very nice the food came out quick had the onion soup and a turkey sandwich with fries and was very good. Would definitely return.

Great, friendly, courteous service from Emily. Shared nachos & fried pickles. Both were enjoyable. Then shared a peach waffle sundae dessert, which was yummy! It was busy because we were there during a special festival but Emily did a great job of being quick & friendly with all her tables.
